It imagines a marine discovery centre in relation to Cox’s Bazar and the Bay of Bengal. There is no Tidehouse building, organisation, collection, research programme, ticket service or visitor operation.

Events, lessons, fieldwork, animal care, surveys, datasets, quotations and Tidehouse-specific findings are narrative scenarios, not documented activity.
Science context
Broad truths, careful boundaries
Tidehouse stories use established high-level marine-science ideas: mangroves can store carbon-rich sediment, many organisms migrate vertically through the water column, hydrophones can record underwater sound, plankton support food webs, and coral husbandry demands controlled conditions and ethical care.
The Bay of Bengal is shaped by monsoon systems, major river inputs, coastal habitats and human livelihoods. Those themes provide context, but this preview does not present a literature review, local ecological baseline or management recommendation.
No ecological statement should be treated as site-specific evidence. Real interpretation would require current peer-reviewed and local sources, Bangladeshi expertise, community knowledge, credited contributors and transparent uncertainty.
